DTI launches consultation on sexuality
The DTI has begun a consultation on discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation in provision of goods and services.
Traditionally, the government has limited its definition of sexual orientation to mean an orientation towards
(a) persons of the same sex;
(b) persons of the opposite sex; or
(c) persons of the same sex and of the opposite sex.
The discussion will cover things like membership of private members clubs as well as treatment by retailers etc.
If you have a view you have until early June to comment, http://www.dti.gov.uk/files/file27078.pdf
